Cleaning and Maintaining any Beer System
Once you’ve installed and set up your beer system, you can’t just set it and forget it. It needs to be properly cleaned and maintained, preferably every two weeks or any time you change the keg. Bacteria, mold and yeast can form on any component draft beer touches, especially your beer lines, draft faucets, and keg couplers. This bacteria can create improper flavors and aromas in your beer or cause your beer to pour foamy.
Beer lines, faucets, couplers and other components should be cleaned on a regular basis with cleaning solution or detergents created specifically for cleaning draft systems.
